Tranimals! They are all around us. From fish to lizards to birds to plants to shrimp to even mammals like lions and mice, it turns out that being transsexual isn't just natural, it's literally all around us. Humans love to think of themselves as being separate from the natural world, but we, too, are just animals, and our place in the natural world of evolution and science holds the key to so many mysteries that we haven't even begun to scratch the surface of. Patriachal misogyny affects us all! We sometimes define our womanhood in opposition to it, rather than by defining it on its own terms. When you're raised in a misogynistic world, it's easy to internalize some of the ideas about what "femininity" and "womanhood" are SUPPOSED to look like, and unfortunately a lot of times that means trauma. Discovering that you're trans is a long, complicated, confusing process. Chloe was aware that something was... different... about her when she was in kindergarten, but growing up Catholic, being transgender isn't something that's spoken of or allowed. So the process of getting to know yourself takes time. And when you finally come out as transgender, and a trans woman, in the year 2020, mid-quarantine, with a vehemently anti-trans president in Trump... it makes the whole thing a lot harder. Chloe did it the old fashioned way, and fully socially transitioned for over a year before she ever touched a hormone. From there, things just got crazier.
